anybody know if there is a way to just buy the vip package without getting the tix for the show?

No Unfortunately the VIP upgrade is only sold as an add-on to a regular concert ticket.

On their facebook they have been promoting the vip meet and greet for the hell pop tour and linking to the carnival of madness meet and greet. Not sure if that is the same or not, but my guess is that they will have the vip meet and greet separate as well.
